In early 1984 a group of Christians belonging to the Catholic Church decided to form a social non-profit association calling it “Social Action Association (AS.AS)”. Legal status was achieved in the month of June of the same year.
Concerned about the many children wandering the streets of the city and no place for them, they went to the Municipality of San Pedro Sula to request a property that met the criteria necessary to make a home to house these children. Once the goal was achieved it began what is now the “Children’s Home Trails of Love”.
On September 10th, 1984 the center opened with a population of eight children, increasing the quota every year. In recent years we have grown to sixty children, whom they have covered all their needs.
Currently the facilities have improved a lot and we focus on children receiving everything they need to meet our objectives.
