Centro de Derechos de Mujeres CDM

Colonia Lara Norte, Ave. Manuel José Arce, Calle Lara N. 834 Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Apartado Postal 4562

The emergence of the CDM Women’s Rights Center is strongly linked to the history of the Latin American and Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women’s Rights (CLADEM), an advisory body before the United Nations and organized in our country in 1989.

In 1992, some of the feminists who had been working with CLADEM-Honduras decided to form the CDM.

The CDM Women’s Rights Center is a feminist, autonomous, critical, and proactive organization that strives to strengthen autonomy, the exercise and enjoyment of rights, citizenship, equality and gender justice for women.

The work for women’s human rights through a feminist proposal seeks to positively impact women’s lives, promote their autonomy and leadership. In addition to contributing to a greater commitment of the population and public authorities to build a society with social justice and gender equality.
